Driver Education

Successfully completing a certified Driver Education Program course that includes 30 hours of classroom learning and six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training is a requirement for all new Maryland drivers, regardless of age. In Maryland, the driver education program is provided by private driving schools that are licensed and certified to deliver this program. Follow these links below to learn more about driver education and our Rookie Driver Graduated Driver Licensing System that helps keep new drivers safe as they learn and gain experience.
