Business Licensing Orientation Sessions

The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) offers free orientation sessions to help dealerships and title service agents understand MVA rules, processes, and expectations.

Who should attend

Orientation sessions are open to:

  • Dealership owners
  • Title service agents
  • Managers
  • Clerks and office staff
  • Anyone involved in vehicle titling and registration work

Current licensees are welcome. You do not need to be a new business to attend.

What the session covers

During the session, MVA staff explain:

  • Dealer and title service agent responsibilities
  • Titling and registration requirements
  • Recordkeeping requirements
  • How the Business Licensing and Compliance Division operates
  • How investigations and audits are handled

This session helps you avoid mistakes and stay in compliance with Maryland law.

How to reserve a spot

Step 1: Complete the request form

Fill out the Business Licensing Orientation Session Request Form. Make sure all information is complete and accurate.

Step 2: Submit the form

You can email the form directly to the Business Licensing and Compliance Division or mail the completed form to:

Step 3: Wait for confirmation

After your request is reviewed, you will receive confirmation of your session date and time. Business Licensing Orientation Sessions are now held online and there is no fee to attend.
