You must obtain your Maryland driver’s license and Maryland vehicle title and registration within 60 days of becoming a Maryland resident.
Get ready before you visit the MVA
Before scheduling an appointment, gather your information and documents. Doing this first helps your visit go smoothly. At your appointment, you can take care of your driver’s license and your vehicle title and registration in one visit.
- Visit MyMVA and make a 'New to Maryland' Appointment. Select which type of appointment you will need:
- Driver's License Only
- Driver's License, Title, and Registration
- Title & Registration Only
- Out of Country
- Returning to Maryland
- Fill out the Pre-Application to help you gather the information and documents you will need to bring to your appointment
