Effective August 5, 2026, Maryland is changing the validity period for the temporary authority credential. All new temporary authorities will now expire 30 days from the effective date.

Temporary authorities serve as temporary registration for apportioned permanent registration. Temporary authorities that were issued before August 5, 2026, will be honored until the expiration date.

All other conditions and requirements remain unchanged.
