EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Donovan, Departmental Services Mail Room

When you think of mail, what does it consist of - a letter, envelope, and stamp? To Donovan, it’s over 300 types of letters, separated according to the type of customer correspondence with many details to consider. Which of the 9 different types of envelopes should be used? Does it need one of the 4 return envelopes with any inserts? Which of the 56 mail codes should be used? Does it follow Maryland Laws and Regulations? Donovan is a top performer and elevates others to achieve – his inserter processed over 63 percent of all pieces of inserter mail in April. Donovan is mechanically oriented when it comes to operating the inserter, he picks up from the 11-post office boxes, and delivers and picks up mail from the external emissions office daily. Donovan’s positive demeanor, attention to detail, and effective work routines have been essential for the success of MVA Postal Services.
