Dealer books

A dealer book is an MVA publication with the names and addresses of:

Licensed vehicle dealers
Title service agents
Automotive dismantlers and recyclers
Scrap processors
Manufacturers and distributors licensed by the MVA

How to order a dealer book

Write a request that explains why you need the dealer book.
Submit your written request in person or by mail to the Business Licensing and Compliance Division at the MVA. A supervisor must approve the request before the book can be issued.
Pay the required fee.

Dealer book mailed: $22
Dealer book picked up in person: $20

Dealer record

A dealer record is a copy of the license application or other record the MVA keeps about a dealer or vehicle-related business. You can order a certified copy (official version) or a noncertified copy.

How to order a dealer record

Write a request that explains why you need the dealer record.
Submit your written request in person or by mail to the Business Licensing and Compliance Division at the MVA. A supervisor must approve the request before the record is released.
Pay the required fee. If you want a certified copy, you will pay a bit more.
