WHAT: The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), in partnership with the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS), will officially open a new BCDSS office co-located inside the Baltimore City MVA Branch.
The office will provide residents with comprehensive, on-site access to state and federal economic assistance programs, including SNAP, Temporary Cash Assistance and Medical Assistance. Customers can apply for benefits, check application status, update cases, complete renewals and connect to additional support services all in one convenient MVA location.
This expansion supports the MVA’s ongoing commitment to providing a one-stop-government shop experience where Marylanders can access a wide range of state services in a single and convenient location.
WHO: MVA representativesBCDSS Deputy Director La Sherra AyalaMVA and BCDSS employees
WHEN: 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 25
WHERE: Baltimore City MVA Branch 5425 Reisterstown Road Baltimore, MD 21215
WHY: The co-location of services enhances customer experience by providing residents access to motor vehicle services and public benefits assistance during a single visit. The Baltimore City branch already provides access to vital services including birth and death certificate processing.
By including a BCDSS on-site office, the partnership helps streamline access to critical services and the MVA’s broader effort to meet residents where they are and remove barriers to essential services.
