GLEN BURNIE, MD (February 12, 2025) - The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) will close all branch offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) stations between Saturday, February 15, to Monday, February 17, in observance of Presidents’ Day. The MVA branch offices and VEIP stations will reopen for normal operations on Tuesday, February 18. To schedule an appointment at an MVA branch, customers can visit the Appointment Scheduler here. Online services, including myMVA, and 24-hour self-service business kiosks will not be available due to a systems upgrade starting on Saturday, February 15 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, February 16 at 6 a.m. The self-service VEIP kiosks will be open the entire weekend. “We appreciate our customers’ patience while we undergo system enhancements this weekend. These upgrades ensure the MVA continues to provide convenient access to services,” said Motor Vehicle Administrator Chrissy Nizer. Customers are encouraged to sign up for a myMVA account to take advantage of the many services available online. With a myMVA account, customers can also access their driver’s license information, view and print their vehicle registration, view MVA correspondence and check their vehicle emissions inspection program deadlines. Creating and accessing your myMVA account is now easier and more secure. Currently, customers can create an account using the Google Single Sign-On feature. Customers with existing myMVA accounts will also be able to use the Single Sign-On feature which allows them to sign in with the trusted security of their Google credential across multiple applications and platforms. All MVA branch offices and VEIP stations are closed on dates in accordance with the state holiday calendar. A complete list of closings for this year can be found here. ###
