Maryland Department of Transportation to Honor Those Killed on Maryland Roadways

Annual event to be held on World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 22, 2024) – To honor the more than 600 lives lost in preventable crashes last year, the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration’s Highway Safety Office will host its 21st annual Maryland Remembers event on Sunday, November 17. Family and friends of loved ones killed (not just in the past year) are invited to attend the free event. Registration is required. Details of the event and how to register are below.

Event Details: The annual Maryland Remembers event begins with a procession of all attendees bringing forth a framed photo of their loved ones and are greeted by Maryland leadership. Following the procession, a short program is held with an informal reception to follow.

Date: Sunday, November 17, 2024 – World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

Time: 4:00 p.m.

Place: The Westin Annapolis - 100 Westgate Cir, Annapolis, MD 21401
