What:
Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) Administrator Chrissy Nizer will cut the ribbon to officially open MDOT MVA’s newest customer service space, an office in the parking lot of the North Plaza Shopping Center adjacent to the Parkville branch location. The Parkville Branch Annex will be used exclusively for customers who have made appointments to comply with the federally mandated REAL ID requirement.

Why:
MDOT MVA is committed to providing premier customer service to the citizens of Maryland and finding new and innovative ways to serve them. The agency is working to comply with federal requirements to satisfy the REAL ID Act. A little more than one million customers will need to provide documents to MDOT MVA over the next 20 months. MDOT MVA recommends customers make an appointment for REAL ID to ensure a simple and efficient transaction.
