Dear MVA Customer:
The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration’s (MVA) “Zero Tolerance” is our commitment to you to secure the integrity of the services and products we deliver. In today’s environment, we are confronted with a multitude of challenges, which unfortunately include fraud and other criminal activities. However, I want to assure you that in the incidence when an employee’s misconduct violates our standards of professional and ethical conduct, we will institute our Zero Tolerance Policy.
The MVA’s Zero Tolerance Policy was put in place to prevent any incidences of fraud or employee misconduct, given the rise in identify theft crimes. This commitment is our assurance to you, our customer: fraudulent and unethical behavior at the MVA will not be tolerated.
If you encounter any unethical behavior during your contact with the MVA, I am asking you to call our toll-free Integrity Hotline at 1-800-296-4709. Your call can be anonymous and the MVA will investigate it. We want to ensure that those of us in public service who protect your identity continue to honor the trust that you have placed in us.
Together, we can ensure that all of Maryland’s residents have complete confidence in the safety, service and security of the work we do at the MVA.
Thank you,
Christine Nizer Administrator
