WHAT: The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), in partnership with the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families (DVMF), will officially open a new Veterans Services Office at the Frederick MVA Branch. The office will assist veterans, active-duty service members and their families in accessing federal, state and local benefits and services.
The Frederick branch marks the 10th MVA location statewide to include a Veterans Service Office. The new office also advances the Moore-Miller Administration’s work to Leave No One Behind by expanding access to services and creating a one-stop government shop experience for Marylanders.

WHY: The new Veterans Service Office will serve the more than 16,000 veterans and their families in Frederick County by providing direct access to benefits counseling, claims assistance, transition support and other critical resources. Each office is staffed by a trained benefits specialist dedicated to helping veterans and their families navigate available services. The office expansion improves access to government services while meeting Marylanders where they are.
