BALTIMORE, MD (February 25, 2026) – Maryland residents now have a new way to access essential government services in one convenient location. The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) today opened a new Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) office co-located inside the MVA’s Baltimore City branch. Located at 5425 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21215, the new office reflects a shared commitment to improving the customer experience, streamlining access to services, meeting Marylanders where they are and furthers the Moore-Miller Administration’s efforts to Leave No One Behind. “This partnership strengthens our one-stop-shop approach to government services,” said MVA Administrator Chrissy Nizer. “By bringing additional services into our Baltimore City branch, we’re saving customers time and making it easier to access the resources they need in one visit.” Baltimore City Department of Social Services team members will be on site Monday through Friday to give residents greater access to state and federal economic assistance benefits, including SNAP, Temporary Cash Assistance and Medical Assistance. BCDSS can assist MVA visitors in applying for benefits, checking the status of a recent application, updating an existing case, completing renewals and linking individuals and families to services so they can better meet their basic needs. No appointment is required. “Accessing public services should be as simple and convenient as possible,” said BCDSS Director Brandi Stocksdale. “By co-locating our benefits eligibility team inside the MVA’s local branch office, we’re making it easier for residents in Northwest Baltimore to apply for benefits, get real-time information about cases, and access other supports, all without having to make an extra phone call or trip.” The Baltimore City MVA branch is a multi-agency service hub for the community. In addition to MVA and new BCDSS services, customers also have access to birth and death certificate processing. ###
