GLEN BURNIE, MD (September 24, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) has earned multiple awards from the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) for its continued innovation, customer service, and commitment to public safety.
The MVA also received a 2025 dotCOMM Award for its Mobile ID Check by MD app, which enables fast and secure Mobile ID verification, marking a major step forward in enhancing mobile credentialing and digital service delivery. The dotCOMM Awards honor excellence in web creativity and digital communications.
“These awards reflect the dedication and creativity of our MVA team,” said MVA Administrator Chrissy Nizer. “From improving customer experience to enhancing safety and fraud prevention, our employees continue to raise the standard for public service in the motor vehicle industry.”
The AAMVA honors were presented this summer at the Association’s 2025 Region 1 conference, where transportation leaders from across the United States and Canada gathered to share best practices and address key issues facing the motor vehicle and law enforcement agencies. The awards include:
AAMVA has recognized excellence in motor vehicle administration since its founding in 1933. The organization supports member agencies across North America by promoting safety, security, and service innovations in the transportation sector.
