Glen Burnie, MD (August 5, 2024) – The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration will be participating in more than 20 National Night Out events statewide. National Night Out, held this year on Tuesday, August 6, is an annual campaign that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and local organizations to build positive neighborhood relationships. “As the Motor Vehicle Administration continues its commitment to providing our customers with consistent premier customer service within our branches and online, we also want to make sure we’re meeting customers within their community,” said Motor Vehicle Administrator Chrissy Nizer. “The agency impacts every single Marylander, so accessibility is critical in meeting the Moore-Miller Administration’s promise to ‘Leave No One Behind.” MVA Ambassadors will be at 22 locations to answer questions and engage with the community on new and enhanced services the agency provides including encouraging customers to sign up for a myMVA account. Customers with a myMVA account can request license plate and title replacements, apply for disability products and resolve insurance cases and administrative flags, among other online services. Customers can also access their driver’s license information, their vehicle registration status, MVA correspondence and their vehicle emissions inspection program deadlines. Community Engagement Managers from MVA’s Highway Safety Office will also be available at National Night Out events in Reisterstown, Ocean City and Hyattsville to provide pedestrian, bicycle and general driving safety information to participants. A list of events Ambassadors will be participating in can be found here.
