Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) and the Chesapeake Bay Trust will receive recognition from the Automobile License Plate Collector’s Association (ALPCA) for the design of the latest Protect the Chesapeake license plate. Sales of the special license plate raise money for environmental programs conducted by the Chesapeake Bay Trust. The new license plate was designed by TM Design Inc. of Frederick and was made available to the public in October 2018. Since then, more than 30,000 have been purchased.
To demonstrate their commitment to the environment and the Chesapeake Bay, staff from
MDOT MVA and the Chesapeake Bay Trust will conduct a storm drain stenciling project at the Waldorf Branch location immediately following the award ceremony.
