MDOT MVA's long awaited system modernization, Customer Connect has arrived. For MDOT MVA it means more efficient, seamless service. For our customers, here's a quick breakdown of some of the changes you'll see.

A New Look and New Name for our eStore

We've combined all the services and transactions that we offer into one-stop shopping. myMVA is cleaner to view, easy to navigate, and brings all of our services into one central place.

More eService Options and Growing

By creating an account, MDOT MVA customers can get a 360-degree view of all of their MDOT MVA to-dos including renewal and expiration dates. Without an account, customers can look up correspondence and receipts, apply for a disability product, make an appointment and start an application online for service and much more! New Changes to MD Driver's Licenses/ID Numbers

The next time you renew your Driver's License or ID be aware of a change on the face of the Driver's License/ID card. MDOT MVA is now issuing “MD ID" numbers moving forward. The unique identification begins with MD and includes 13 characters. The "MD ID" license number is a randomly generated number that will provide enhanced security and protection of personal information for customers. This replaces the number that traditionally started with the first initial of a customer's last name.

Customers do NOT need to make any changes at this point. The new MD ID will be issued the next time a customer is required to make a change to their Driver's License/ID card. If customers have already received a new MD ID number the original number will still be connected to the prior number, making it seamless for partners who might request this information as part of a transaction.

More Choices for CDL holders

For the Commercial Driver's License holders that keep Maryland and America moving, Customer Connect brings the ability to upload Medical Examiner Certificates directly into our system for review. Use a phone, tablet or computer - whether you're in your home or taking a break 500 miles away, a Med Cert upload takes minutes. Users will receive an email confirmation once the Med Cert has been processed.
